This old “drying house” sits on a crest surrounded by ancient chestnut trees.

In the old days it was here that the chestnuts were dried to make the flour which comprised the principal nourishment for the local inhabitants.

Now it is a two-storey house with a small kitchen, a large bathroom and a luminous living room with a large picture window overlooking Mount Amiata on the ground floor. A glass door leads to a sheltered terrace. On the upper floor the bedroom is located.

The house is heated by gas.
